Pentwater Lake

Pentwater Lake got its name from the locals in the mid-1800's, Pentwater meaning 'five waters' due to the rivers and lakes surrounding the village. Pentwater Lake is an all-sports lake offering boating, swimming, sight seeing, horse drawn carriage rides, and much more on its perfectly sandy beaches. Winter activities include cross-country skiing trails, ice fishing, snow mobiling, and sledding among other things. Pentwater is a great place to just kick back and relax with no worries. Though the village is small, there is always something fun to do all year round. Pentwater holds a very friendly atmosphere and is perfect to forget about all the hassles and stressers of the rest of the world. A large attraction in Pentwater is the homecoming festival which features fireworks, parades, local bands, and sandcastle building contests. It is just a short drive to the paradise of Pentwater Lake.
